Point de France wide flounce

Cut both ends and likely along the top. A bobbin-made engrelure attached. Excellent condition, no obvious defects.

A Berain style Point de France border, probably a furnishing flounce, perhaps cut down at the top. Typical symmetric candelabra design, although there are noticable differences in some right and left motifs. This is not unusual in Point de France. Laces of this design are typically ascribed to the late 17th century.
